Lisa Karpova’s opinion piece in Pravda (that historically famous organ of impartiality and accurate reporting), makes quite interesting reading as it paints quite a different picture of the recently-trumpeted nuclear weapons summit. As always, see what one side’s saying, look at the other side and the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.
More interesting than that, though is this reported comment by Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor:
“We weren’t mentioned by any of the speakers, even those who we feared would talk about us. Once again, the amoral, hypocritical Americans ran interference for their overseers in Tel Aviv…nothing has changed.”
Did he really say that? If he did then some of the things certain people around the blogosphere have been saying would seem more, ah, respectable.
IF he did.
